Vox is a free browser-based multiplayer strategy game which allows for casual play over month-long campaigns. Players compete for resources and territory on huge worlds that can accommodate hundreds of simultaneous players.
Vox draws from a rich history of strategy gaming, drawing elements from Civilization, Settlers of Catan, and Go, spliced together with an asynchronous web interface to create unique gameplay that will challenge both the novice and the seasoned tactician.
This is a really good game. It might seem like its a little slow at first but once you get into the rythem its almost impossible to stop, especially if you join one of the fast games. Gameplay is a lot like civilization except instead of fighting AI you're playing against other people who can actually be reasoned with. There's always people hanging around in the chat room if you need help or get bored. You can play in multiple maps at once!
